A figure in the Capital Region music scene has been nominated for a Grammy award for the 3rd time.

Pretty cool to see the Capital Region and music on that level currently.  David Alan Miller, a director of the Albany Symphony, earned his third nomination for a Grammy this year.  According to the Daily Gazette, the nomination is for Best Orchestral Performance.

While I don't always agree with the Grammy nominations every year, it's so great to see someone involved with Capital Region music at that level.  Plus, I'm a huge fan of orchestral music.  While I'm a rock girl, think of how many AMAZING rock songs exist that use strings, orchestral sounds, and even opera (hello Bohemian Rhapsody).  David Alan Miller won a Grammy previously in 2014, so here's to hoping he wins again this year!
