Tell us about your band!: Distopic can be heard grinding out from the shadowy underground of Schenectady, nestled behind an infamous mental ward. Distopic is an American take on a British concept rooted in Greek philosophy, the ‘dystopian’ society. The fatally flawed Utopia, dystopian society had its roots in the false Utopia controlled by horrific central governments and feeding the depravity amongst its people. We are Distopic, those who see the transformed dystopia, the American distopia, existing today. Distopic has a strong focus on the darker undertones created by our failing world. The music is heavy, laden with melodies hidden behind a hardened surface.
