Legendary Penn State Coach Joe Paterno Dead At 85
After a night of rumors about Joe Paterno’s death, ESPN is reporting that the legendary college football coach has lost his battle with lung cancer.
After battling lung cancer for two months, Joe Paterno has lost his fight with the disease. he was 85 years old. Paterno’s health had been getting worse since his diagnosis back in lat November, and the family broke the news this morning that he had in fact died.
It is with great sadness that we announce that Joe Paterno passed away earlier today. His loss leaves a void in our lives that will never be filled.
Though recently Paterno’s name was drug though the dirt due to a horrible child molestation scandal at Penn State, he will always be remembered as one of the greatest coaches in college football history. 46 seasons with Penn State and he brought two national championships to the school. ‘Joe Pa’ is survived by his wife Sue and their five children. May he rest in peace.
