The long standing work on I-787 to rehabilitate the southern portion of the road will close one lane north bound until fall.

As of this week, one lane of north bound I-787 from exits 2 to 4 in Albany will be closed.

This closure will be in place until the fall of this year. The speed limit will also be reduced to 45 MPH during this time period.

If you travel I-787 in to Albany for any reason, you know the traffic headaches this project has caused. So if you can avoid it for any reason, especially north bound with the new lane closure, that might be your best best.
