Krystal Crowned Rock Girl 2016

Q103 crowned our very first Rock Girl, Rock Girl 2016, Krystal,  Friday night!

Krystal came out on top after a panel of judges, including celebrity guest judges Maria Brink from In This Moment and Dustin of Starset, chose her among the five finalists.

We asked ladies from the Capital Region to apply for our Rock Girl competition earlier in October and after two rounds of voting, five were selected to attend our Rock Girl Finals at Upstate Concert Hall Friday night for a party and competition highlighted by a performance by Starset. The girls were asked to wear their "rock clothes" as well as Halloween costumes and come prepared to show off a talent.

In our top-5, we had Samantha Mulready doing a sexy performance of "Cherry Pie," Jessica Dodson on air drums to Blink 182, Cassandra Brandon rocking the mic with a song, Becky McGraw telling a joke and Krystal Garner shaking her hips with a dance number. The girls were judged on a Q&A, rock outfit, talent, Halloween costume and overall appearance. In the end, Krystal won!

Krystal is 22, from Troy and "has more tattoos than I can count." She is also a huge fan of Q103.
