So, quick recap: Courtney Love had an onstage breakdown during a Hole performance in Sao Paulo, Brazil, over the weekend, screaming about Foo Fighters / former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl and how he’s stealing money from her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Now, ex-Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic has thrown his two cents into the argument — and, not surprisingly, he’s on Grohl’s side.

During her verbal rampage, which was sparked when a fan in the audience held up a picture of her late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, Love berated the crowd seemingly out of nowhere for supporting Grohl. “I don’t care what you listen to at home,” she announced, referring to Foo Fighters and Grohl, “but if a guy takes off money off my kid’s table, f— him.”

After the show, she tried her best to explain the issue during an interview, saying that “Dave makes $5 million a [Foo Fighters] show, he doesn’t need the money [from Nirvana] … [so] why the f— then does he have a Nirvana Inc. credit card and I don’t? And last week he bought and Astin Martin on it.” She went on to claim that Cobain’s sister lives under a bridge and his mom lives in a mold-infested house.

On Wednesday (Nov. 16), Novoselic rushed to the defense of his buddy Grohl with a pair of posts on his Twitter page, first speaking out on the quality of Dave’s band (“Q: Why do Foo Fighters pack arenas? A: Because they ROCK!!!!!!!”), then backing up the effort and skill that got him to where he is today (“David Eric Grohl = Talent + Focus + Hard Work #Iloveyou”).

That’s what we like to see! Krist and Dave may not be bandmates anymore more, but the Nirvana bond is a bond for life.
