Korn guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch will introduce the new film 'Holy Ghost' at its world premiere on Sept. 6 at the Redding Civic Auditorium in Redding, Calif. The premiere is a live, one-time digital event, which will be streamed free of charge for people around the world. Welch will introduce the film and then will make a rare solo performance joining Christian band Jake Hamilton & the Sound.

‘Holy Ghost’ is a feature length documentary directed by Darren Wilson. The religious film takes viewers on a faith-based journey around the world including Salt Lake City, Utah, Monte Carlo, India and to a Korn concert. According to the Wanderlust Production web site, Wilson’s goal of the unscripted film is to “make God famous.” From discovering the riches of Monte Carlo to the oldest city in the world to a heavy metal concert, the doc shines a light on the Holy Spirit and God’s presence in daily life.

Welch and Fieldy from Korn are featured prominently in the film. In a scene in the trailer featured above they gather to pray and share their love of God with fans before they take the stage.

Back in May, Welch told Fanpass about his distain for religion but love of Jesus Christ: “I like to get high on something, and when I asked the Lord to come and make his home inside of me, the spiritual high, it’s so real.” He continued, “And I hate religion. I don’t talk about religion at all, but the relationship through Christ is what I found. And I’m totally satisfied. Now I can enjoy raising my kid, I can enjoy jamming with music in Korn. I can enjoy anything I do. It’s the best high ever.”

Brian “Head” Welch left Korn back in 2005 to get sober and embraced Christianity. He rejoined the band last year for ‘The Paradigm Shift’ album.

The ‘Holy Ghost’ world premiere begins at 2 PM ET on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Meanwhile, Korn will kick off their fall tour with Slipknot on Oct. 29 in El Paso, Texas. For the complete tour dates, click here.
