YouTube is generally used for videos that make us laugh, cringe, and sometimes puke.  However, filmmaker Jason Russell is using one of the internet's most powerful sites as a way to promote global awareness.

For those of you who don't know who Joseph Kony is, sit back and get ready to watch one of the most moving videos that has ever hit the web.  Invisible Children is taking a global approach at making one monster of a person famous, not to praise him, but to bring him to justice.

For years, Joseph Kony has been kidnapping Ugandan children and killing them, or forcing them to fight in his rebel army.  It's hard to imagine, because here in the United States we send our kids to school without having to worry about them being kidnapped.  As evidence in the video, some of these kids don't even have parents to watch after them.

The video is just about 30 minutes long, but it is well-worth the watch, and is one of the most moving things I have ever seen.  This man, and all people like him, have to be stopped. If you haven't seen the movie yet, check it out below.
