Strokes singer Julian Casablancas is all set to release the debut album by his new band, Julian Casablancas+The Voidz. The record, 'Tyranny,' will come out on Sept. 23.

The group released a nearly six-minute video teaser featuring music and behind-the-scenes footage from the road. You can watch it above.

'Tyranny' marks Casablancas' second solo outing. His first move away from the band that made him famous was 2009's 'Phrazes for the Young' LP. This is the first album credited to the six-member Voidz, which Casablancas has occasionally toured with over the past year.

According to the press release announcing the album, 'Tyranny' "incorporates world underground music from the '70s and '80s, hardcore/punk and modern harmony, using modern and analog recording and sampling techniques." Huh.

However that mix falls together, it's gotta be better than the last Strokes album.

Casablancas+The Voidz will also be hitting the road a few weeks after the album is released to "melt peoples’ faces off," according to the frontman. Here's a full list of the month-long tour in support of 'Tyranny':
