Judas Priest are the unquestioned Metal Gods, so it's only fitting that fans get a taste of their upcoming CD/DVD, Battle Cry, with the exclusive premiere of the song "Metal Gods" right here at Loudwire. The footage is taken from the band's 2015 performance at the Wacken festival in Germany in front of 85,000 screaming fans and a dazzling light show that illuminates the night sky at the open air fest.

"Metal Gods" is a Priest live staple, coming off their breakthrough 1980 album, British Steel. The video opens up with an aerial shot of the stage and the fans, with the Wacken goat skull emblem ablaze as blinding yellow lights and smoke fill the air atop the lighting rig above the band's platform. The stomping rhythms make their entrance as guitarist Richie Faulkner commands the front of the stage, raising his fast and pumping up the crowd.

Rob Halford's ageless voice breathes new life into the song, utilizing slight variations of his original vocal delivery and a quick falsetto scream of "C'mon!" before Glenn Tipton begins his solo. The older the band gets, the more "Metal Gods" serves as a resounding description of the titans from Birmingham, England.

Judas Priest were set to call it a day with worldwide touring after wrapping up the nearly yearlong 'Epitaph' tour from 2011 through 2012, but recent performances like "Metal Gods" is proof positive the group still has plenty left to offer. As Halford always says at the end of each show, "The Priest will be back!"

Battle Cry will be released on March 25 on CD, DVD and Blu-ray. Pre-orders for all options can be placed here.
