Johan Santana Throws New York Mets First Ever No-Hitter
It was an unbelievable night for baseball and New York Met fans. Johan Santana did one thing most pitchers only dream of doing, throwing a no hitter.
It took more than 50 years, but the New York Mets finally have their first ever no-hitter. Who better to throw it than Johan Santana? Quite the comeback season for Santana so far. He missed all of last season because of shoulder surgery.
Now that he’s back, he’s helping the Mets along int heir quest to win a championship. Last nights no-hitter might have been the magic that they needed. His no-hitter was the Mets first, and that’s something that him and fans will never forget. The Mets would go on to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 8-0 behind the terrific performance by Johan.
Congratulations to Johan Santana, and the New York Mets! I guess the 8,020th game is the charm?
