Glens Falls native and NBA player, Jimmer Fredette, will be in town next week to hold a book signing at Colonie Center.

Jimmer Fredette took the college basketball world by storm in 2010-11 when the BYU hoopster won National Player of the Year honors.  As a graduate of Glens Falls, you can't help but to feel a sense of hometown pride.

Last year, Jimmer was taken 10th overallin the NBA draft and now takes the court for the Sacramento Kings.  He played in 61 games, averaging 7.6 points per game. Jimmer has written a book detailing, among other things, the hard work it took to make it to the NBA entitled The Contract: The Journey of Jimmer Fredette from the Playground to the Pros.

The Contract recalls about an actual contract that Jimmer's brother drafted for him to sign.  A contract to work through the sacrifices it would take to reach the NBA. The book does not hit shelves until until the 21st, however, Jimmer is letting us get an early copy!

Jimmer will be signing the new book on Monday, September 17th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Barnes and Noble in Colonie Center.  According to CBS, Jimmer is only signing his new book and no other material.

Will you be stopping by the mall to meet Jimmer?
