After month of talks between JetBlue and Albany International Airport officials, Sen Schumar has made the announcement that JetBlue will indeed be landing and taking off at Albany International Airport.

The motivation behind JetBlue at ALB? Low fares and Florida. Schumer commented on the arrival of the low cost carrier saying: 'This is game-changing news for Albany International and for Capital Region residents who will now have a new, low-cost carrier flying in and out of their local airport as soon as next year.'

Apparently, there is high demand for flights from the Albany area to Florida which will be one of the low cost routes available next year. While JetBlue routes have not been announced we here in the Albany area will have the availability to fly out of Albany on low cost flights and have options other than Southwest.
