It's been close to eight years but Jane's Addiction will be at the Palace Theatre tonight with Black Revelation showtime is at 8:30pm.  If you don't have a ticket good luck getting one as the show has been completely sold out for some time now.  Perry Farrell told Q103 to expect a different experience tonight

Expect a different kind of concert tonight at Jane's Addiction.  Farrell has said that this show will be more intimate, with the crowd immersed in the performance.  Also the show will not just be contained on the stage.

Of course you will hear the classic Jane's Addiction songs, but also their will be new music of thier new album 'The Great Escape Artist' that was released in the fall.

Janes Addiction was formed in 1985 with Perry Ferrell on vocals, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery producing two albums 'Nothings Shocking' and 'Ritual de lo Habitual' then shortly thereafter the band split.

Many reunions came and went that included Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails and Duff Mckagan from Guns N' Roses.  None of them stuck, caused fighting among the band itself and Avery eventually left the band for good.

The original members of Janes did not give up finally finding a producer and resumed work on the 'The Great Escape Artist'.  The psychedelic overtones and edgy atmosphere of the band's music is still there, but now is a new layer of electronics and other sonic effects within the sound, while many of the songs are more anthemic than in the past and boast some of the most inviting melodies and hooky instrumental parts Jane's Addiction has ever created.

Farrell sees the band continuing to tour and create new music,  it just won't be a 8 year wait!
