Contrary to the reports from Yahoo's 7 News, the actor is doing just fine.

I'm really not sure how or why some websites make insane claims before knowing all the facts, but Jackie Chan is the latest victim of this.  Earlier today 7 News reported that he was rushed to the hospital and died of an apparent heart attack.  False.  The 56 year old actor is just fine.

Rumors on the internet can spread like wild fire.  Fans of Chan immediately rushed to his facebook and twitter page to find more information.  They instead found a message posted by Jackie's publicity team which stated:

Jackie is alive and well. He did not suffer a heart attack and die, as was reported on many social networking sites and in online news reports. Jackie is fine and is busy preparing for the filming of his next movie.

I can't believe that anyone would even rush to print this without doing at least a little bit of research.  If they had even bothered to check his web page out they would have seen that he was meeting with Japanese officials all day today regarding a special live performance that would benefit earthquake and tsunami victims.  So rest assured everyone, Jackie Chan is doing just fine which means we can expect at least one more Rush Hour film, provided of course that Chris Tucker isn't busy.  I'm pretty sure he's free.
