ISIS-Inspired Terrorist Plot Foiled Near the Capital Region
Located about an hour from the Capital Region, an Adams, Massachusetts man was prosecuted for planning a terrorist attack.
Reported by News 10 abc, this unfortunate news is both scary and horrifying. However, it's inspiring that the terrorist was caught and the attack foiled. An Adams, Massachusetts man - Alexander Ciccolo - was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Ciccolo, the estranged son of a Boston police captain, also goes by Ali Al Amriki according to News 10 abc. He was arrested and prosecuted for a slew of things according to the report, including providing materials to a foreign terrorist organization. On top of that, the report claims he also please guilty for attempting to use weapons of mass destruction and assaulting a nurse during a jail intake process. Even worse (as if that's possible), News 10 abc reported that he was planning to attack a University with firearms and explosives. So much of that is disgusting and horrifying. This is a criminal who reportedly grew up in the United States, with a respectable father, and I'm sure the many privileges that we are offered living here in America. I'm so happy this guy is behind bars, but to me- twenty years isn't enough.
