Steve Carell's job is currently open at Dunder Mifflin and it looks like Jim Carrey could be up to fill the shoes.

As this season of 'The Office' s getting set to wrap up we will bid adieu to the boss we have come to know and love over the years, Michael Scott.  Steve Carell has decided to leave the show after 6 years.  Will it survive?  I have no idea.  The show is still very funny to me but it will take a big name to fill the void left by Carell.

Will Ferrell has been on the last few episodes, but his character Deangelo Vickers isn't going to be a permanent resident in Scranton.  Now more actors are scheduled to appear in the season finale.  Will Arnett, Ray Romano, James Spader, Catherine Tate and now Jim Carrey.  Carrey is going to interviewing for the gig according to EW.com.  Is he going to be the permanent replacement for Carell's Scott?  I suppose only time will tell.  I have been enjoying Will Ferrell so far and was hoping he would stay, but it's not meant to be.

No matter how big the name is, Carrell is going to be a hard act to follow.  He has been the bumbling idiot boss for so long it's going to take the audience a little while to get use to the new man in charge.
