Are you as pumped as we are for Iron Maiden‘s 2012 North American tour? If you’re not quite jumping out of your skin yet, we’ve got some footage of Maiden’s kickoff tour date in Charlotte, N.C., as well as the full setlist from last night’s show.

Iron Maiden having skipped touring most of North America after releasing ‘The Final Frontier,’ fans nationwide are staring at their tickets and counting down the seconds until the band hit the stage. As if that isn’t exciting enough, rock legend Alice Cooper is opening for Maiden between now and July 21, after which Coheed and Cambria will take the coveted spot.

The North American ‘Maiden England’ shows are based on their ‘Seventh Son of a Seventh Son’ tour, with more than half of that very album to be played during the latest installment of the band’s throwback concert series. “We have great fun playing the history of Maiden tours because it gives us an opportunity between new albums to go out and play songs from our earlier catalogue,” says vocalist Bruce Dickinson. “It’s always fantastic seeing the crowd reaction from a new generation of fans who have never experienced some of these tracks performed live before!”

Iron Maiden’s live concert experience has been revamped once again as the legendary heavy metal band display a new stage setup as well as new incarnations of their famous mascot, Eddie the Head. Check out this pro-shot teaser for Iron Maiden’s 2012 North American tour.
