InAPPropriate Comedy: The Worst Opening Weekend In US History
This past weekend saw the release of the movie "InAPPropriate Comedy". The movie directed by Vince Offer (aka the Sham-Wow guy) features Rob Schneider, Adrien Brode, and Lindsay Lohan. The film now holds the record for the "Worst Opening Weekend" in US history.
According to IMDb: "In this comedy film, a computer tablet full of the world's most hilariously offensive apps breaks through the borders of political correctness, stirring up cultural anarchy."
Rotten Tomatoes' synopsis says "INAPPROPRIATE COMEDY is a no-holds barred sketch movie starring Academy Award-winner Adrien Brody as "Flirty Harry," a tough, no nonsense cop with a soft middle and a flair for fashion; Rob Schneider in a dual role as both a sleazy, horny psychologist and a curmudgeonly porn critic alongside his enthusiastic counterpart Michelle Rodriguez; Lindsay Lohan living out her fantasy of taking an ultimate revenge on the salivating paparazzi who haunt her, and Ari Shaffir as "The Amazing Racist," whose hilariously offensive hidden-camera encounters with members of different ethnic and minority groups push everyone's buttons."
Just watch the trailer, you can tell it was just going to be 90 minutes of racist joke after racist joke. Vince Offer's previous movie, 1999's The Underground Comedy, was not that funny as a whole. In fact, some of the scenes from that movies have been updated in "InAPPropriate Comedy."
Don't waste your time unless it's on Netflix and even then, you might want to be drunk so you don't realize the time you wasted (heck, it might even make some of it funny).
Congrats to Vince Offer though, you now hold a record no one (I think) ever wanted. You might want to stick to selling me Slap Chops and Sham-Wows.
Want to see how how bad "Underground Comedy" was to compare it to "InAPPropriate Comedy"? Watch the video below and see why this DVD just collects dust on my shelf.
