IGN will be leaving News Corp. and will be flying under the Ziff Davis banner.

All Things Digital reports on the sale of IGN from News Corp to Ziff Davis's parent company, J2 Global. No hard numbers for the sale have been revealed, but News Corp. acquired IGN in 2005 for $650 million. Sources have told All Things Digital that Ziff Davis has paid much lower for the company this time.

IGN runs, aside from its own site, AskMen.Com and GameStats.com. Ziff Davis, on the other hand, runs PCMag.com, Geek.com, Computer Shopper, AppScout, BuyerBase, and other tech-focused sites.

We'll update you as soon as more information about the sale is available.
