How To Boil Pasta In The Microwave

Ever not want to wait for the water to boil at home to cook pasta? Or maybe wanted to bring pasta to work for lunch? Here is a solution to boiling pasta.

I, in all honesty, was certainly not optimistic that this would actually be successful. I thought how can you actually place pasta in a microwavable dish and toss in there for a few minutes and have it work. My thought was the water wouldn't actually boil. Indeed it did though. Not just that but it took this tortellini and cooked it a perfect al dente.

All that was needed was to cover the pasta with water just a few inches above the pasta, put it in the microwave for 7 minutes and, boom, done.

I would think it may take quite a bit longer to cook a dry pasta. If you want to use spaghetti you may need to double the length.
