Hawaiian Police Are Legally Allowed To Have Sex With Hookers
I have never been more jealous of someone more than I am of the police officers in Hawaii. Not only do they get to live in Hawaii but they are legally allowed to sleep with hookers while on the job. Best police job ever!
Recently it has come to public attention that a certain law allows Hawaiian police officials to engage in sexual activity with sex workers. The law was put in place to help sex trafficking investigators gather information and build a case. A new law has been brought to the table that would do away with this exemption, but was amended following police testimony in favor of keeping it legal (wink wink).
Most state officials were shocked to learn about this “sex on the job” exception for officers but some admit that they don’t fully understand it.
“I was reluctant to interfere in something that they face all the time. If they think it's necessary to not have it in the statute, this is one area where I did defer to them and say, 'I hope you're not having sex with prostitutes.” - Democratic state Rep. Karl Rhoads, philly.com
"I hope you’re not having sex with prostitutes" is the same phrase my father would say to me every day at dinner.
