The Hard Rock Café has expressed Interest in building along the Hudson River in Rensselaer, but is this a good thing? We’ll ideally it's exciting to have a new hotel/restaurant in the area. Also as someone who works for a Rock station I almost can only see the positives to the Hard Rock Café coming to Albany. However, to spell it out for everyone I have compiled a list of the pros and cons to this potential future of ours.

Pro:      There well be lots of new jobs in the area. Working in the hotel and restaurant should bring a great deal of opportunities to the people of Albany.
Con:      A giant neon guitar leaves our City subject to a giant guitar player attack. You can’t just eliminate a humongous guitar and expect NOT to attract one. We’re basically asking for it.

Pro:      the younger demographic of Albany will have a fresh new place for the night life.
Con:     the older demographic of Albany will build a competing Soft Rock café across the river with monthly visit from John Tesh. The stench from the Soft rock café will be so unbearable it will smell of the movie cocoon and drive the young people out.
