The work of Jim Henson dominated my childhood, Muppets in the morning, in the afternoon and even at night.

When Fraggle Rock came on, it was like the Super Bowl.

Sesame Street was everywhere.

His movies turned into timeless cult classics.

Jim Henson's impact on American culture is a one of a kind, phenomenon, and it has stood the test of time, new Muppet movies keep hitting the theaters and there is a new Muppet TV show.

However I don't know if I will like the new Muppet TV show, it seems like they are trying to do a reality show style, Muppet show. It has been advertised as a show about the Muppet's lives and relationships, but I am pretty sure they already tackled that in two Muppet movies.

Regardless of how I feel about ABC dropping the ball on the new Muppet Show, Jim Henson's memory is alive and well, so if you have the time today, watch a Jim Henson movie or TV show on the Netflix.

Or watch a Jim Henson DVD or Blu-Ray, even a VHS, because you know that you have at least 1 or 2.

Happy Birthday Jim Henson.
