It really saddens me that it has come to this point.

According to the Times Union apparently after some of the senseless shootings that keep happening across the country the Guilderland Police Department began receiving calls from concerned residents asking what they should do if they ever happened to find them self in a situation where they are trapped with an active shooter.

In response to that question posed by residents the Guilderland Police Department is holding a training course for civilians on how to act during an active shooter scenario.

It's a free 2 hour course that aims to provide "strategies for individuals to protect themselves and reduce the dangers faced during an active shooter event."
