Grand Theft Auto 5 Breaks 32.5 Million Sales

Trevor, Michael and Franklin worked hard at trying to score the big one in Grand Theft Auto 5, and according to Take-Two Interactive's financial reports, they must have made it.

Take-Two Interactive reported it had a remarkable season according to sales figures for the third quarter of 2014, which ended on Dec. 31. Take-Two said that according to the NPD Group's Retail Tracking Service, Grand Theft Auto 5 closed the year as the best-selling video game of 2013. Take-Two also reported that GTA 5 had sold more than 32.5 million copies to retailers. Comparing that to thought that the United States' population is around 314 million, and GTA 5's sales records become even more impressive.

Take-Two's financial reports also mention NBA 2K14, WWE 2K14 and Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition as being some of the company's other highest-selling titles of the year.
