Gov. Cuomo Planning To Criminalize Revenge Porn

Revenge porn being something that can lead to depression and someone's life being ruined, yeah I agree with this plan.

My feeling on the matter. No matter how bad a breakup may be ruining somebodies life is not the right thing to do. Even in a situation if your opposition cheats. Sure, we all in that situation want to get payback but revenge porn moving forward looks like it will not be an option. As it shouldn't be in the first place.

Here is what Cuomo's plan would do. Anyone who posts non-consensual pornography can be charged with a C-felony and also be forced to register as a sex offender. The law will also include what they are calling "sextortion", blackmail more or less with the threat to post nude photos publically. There is hope that this plan will allow victims seek help from police if they become part of that situation.

I love this idea from Cuomo, many may not like him and I'm not saying I do. However, like I said above ruining someone's life is not a good form of payback.

Now at the moment, this is only a proposed legislative plan, do you think it should become a law?
