Getting Hot At The Right Time

Every year during the NFL playoffs one or more teams are said to be "getting hot at the right time."

This year it is the Green Bay Packers and I have heard this phrase time and time again on countless networks and shows. I decided to try out the line in everyday life and see if it translates over from the sporting world.

Wife: "Honey, thank you for taking care of the dishes."

Me: "Your welcome, I feel I am getting hot at the right time."

Wife: "You're a moron."

Not so good. Perhaps the only other industry besides sports where this phrase makes sense is in porn.

Director: "This shoot was a disaster but she seemed to get hot at the right time."

I think you should all try it out...at your job, out with friends, wherever...and see if you can make it work.
