Jasco Games has posted a lengthy playthrough of a bit of its Kickstarted (and Capcom approved) Mega Man board game. It's no joke, and seeing it in action gives us high hopes for the final product.

It's a little dry at the start, but when you're first playing a board game, it take a bit of time to get into the thick of things. Fortunately, since Jasco is explaining its own game, you don't have to worry about learning all the intricacies yourself and can just listen and learn.

As you can see, the tabletop Mega Man adventure combines miniatures, cards and dice to create a system capable of replicating the actual in-game action as closely as possible. There are multiple bosses to take on, and you can choose how you want to approach each playthrough. Defeating bosses gets you their signature weapon, which you can then use to tackle other big bads elsewhere. Jasco's seemingly done a nice job bringing the video game to the tabletop, and despite how much is going on at a given time, the rules don't appear to be overly complicated.

There's still a little bit of time left to back Mega Man The Board Game if you're interested in getting in on the ground floor. We still don't have a definitive release date in sight, but all the prototyping looks great so far, so hopefully we'll all be able to enjoy Jasco's and Capcom's efforts before year's end.
