And I don’t just mean with the price of gasoline. As you know, every time you use your debit card, you have 2 choices. You can either use it as a debit card, or a credit card. If you’re smart you’ll always use it as a credit card, as often times there are extra fees when using it as a debit card. I’ve seen them try to trick me into using it as a debit many times at Walmart and the grocery store by asking for a pin # as soon as you swipe your card, but never at the gas station, until yesterday at Cumberland Farms. The key is to simply hit ‘cancel’ and then go on to hit ‘credit’. Different banks have different rules. But to be safe, always use credit.
