Garbage Spill Closes Part of Balltown Road

Niskayuna police are advising drivers to stay away from Balltown Road between Providence and Hillside Avenues. That portion of the road has been closed off due to large amounts of garbage being spilled.

Police are saying the "garbage" is actually medical waste. No crashes or injuries are reported and police believe the garbage came from a waste removal truck.

Drivers are being asked to take different routes around the closed area until a full cleanup can be completed.
