Happy Birthday today (Nov. 25) to Lamb of God lead guitarist Mark Morton. He's 44. Also celebrating is ex Screaming Trees singer Mark Lanegan (52).

Mark Morton is best known as lead guitarist, songwriter, and lyricist of Lamb of God. His influences include Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons, Jimi Hendrix, Zakk Wylde, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Lamb of God have been described as groove metal, with elements of thrash metal, death metal, and hardcore punk. Frontman Randy Blythe was arrested in the Czech Republic back in June of 2012 and indicted on manslaughter charges related to the 2010 death of a 19 year old fan at a concert. He was eventually acquitted of the charges in the well documented case.
