A fight broke out recently in a classroom at Detroit's Pershing High School, which is something that apparently happens pretty often considering it's one of the most dangerous high schools in the city.

When fights occur, teachers are instructed to call for security with a walkie-talkie so that the situation can be handled accordingly.

But when this fight broke out, the teacher's walkie-talkie wasn't working. So, she took things into her own hands and tried to break up the fight with a broom.

Well, since she broke protocol, she's been fired. And since the school is not a union school, she's out and there's no appeal process.

Should the teacher have been fired?
