As if the headliners of Arcade Fire, the Killers, Chance the Rapper and Muse wasn't enough star power for Lollapalooza, Foo Fighters have now thrown themselves into the equation. Today, the band announced that they'll be playing one of the official aftershows, at Metro Chicago on Friday, Aug. 4.

They revealed the details on Facebook, saying that tickets are going on sale today at 11AM Central at Etix. It's also a part of the 35th anniversary of the club, which is located in the shadow of Wrigley Field on Chicago's North Side and has a capacity of 1,100.

It will be the first concert in the U.S. for the Foo Fighters since the BottleRock Festival over Memorial Day Weekend, and serve as a warm-up for their upcoming tour in support of Concrete and Gold, which will be released on Sept. 15. They'll hit the road on Oct. 7 at the Cal Jam in San Bernadino, Calif., and also play another small club on Oct. 12 when they open the Anthem, a new venue in Dave Grohl's hometown of Washington, D.C.

In addition to the Foo Fighters, official Lollapalooza aftershows will be taking place all over Chicago this weekend. Ryan Adams, Live, Spoon, Liam Gallagher, Tegan and Sara and Royal Blood are among the acts who were confirmed back in May.

Earlier today, Dave Grohl gave another hint about who the "biggest pop star in the world" that is appearing on Concrete and Gold might be. “It was towards the end of the album and this person came up and said, ‘Man, I’d really love to sing on your record.’" Grohl said. "I looked at Greg and said, ‘Okay, come in tomorrow and we’ll figure something out.’ We found a backup part and we decided we were gonna make it our own dirty little secret and see if anyone can figure it out.”
