First Decree, ‘Lost in the Crowd’ – Exclusive Video Premiere

It's time to get to know First Decree. The upstart rockers from Wyoming are building toward the release of their This Is Our Rise album, which is due Aug. 21, and they've teamed up with Loudwire to bring you the premiere of their new video for "Lost in the Crowd."

"'Lost in the Crowd' is a song about hope and rising above either your own demons or the ones that others put on you," Zach Lopez-Smith tells Loudwire. "We got the inspiration to write this song from being a small town band that no one knew about and wanting to rise above the competition and make a name for ourselves. From there it took on different meanings for all of us individually."

He adds, "There is always something in our lives that tries to hold us back, but at the same time there is always hope to rise up and become something more. We just want this song and video to inspire others to tell their story of how they overcame anything that ever held them down. We want to thank director Jon King and his crew for helping us convey that message in this video. He picked a perfect location to film at in Kentucky at an old Whiskey distillery’s barrel warehouse. It had a really dark and gloomy vibe that helped portray the overall mood and feel of the song and video, but at the end of the video it shows that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. #ThisIsOurRise."

And speaking of This Is Our Rise, First Decree are making their own "rise" this summer, currently building the buzz while out on the road with In This Moment. Dates for the run can be seen below.
