Firefighters found marijuana plants inside a burning home in Schoharie County this past Tuesday afternoon.

According to The Times Union, three fire departments responded to the Blenheim, NY fire at 141 Roger Jones Rd and found the marijuana plants while battling the chimney fire. Deputies called to the scene recovered what was left of the 31 plants, all destroyed by the fire. Charges were filed against resident Alexander Plumeau who was issued an appearance ticket at Blenheim Town Court for unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing cannabis.

Hearing this story, I can't help but think that the firefighters may have gotten quite a contact high from the burning of the pot plants in the home. Made me think of a story for several years back about a house fire in San Diego that got news coverage after the firefighters inhaled marijuana smoke. Video is actually very funny. Watch it below.
