Jordan was serving as a Firefighter and EMT in the town of Bethlehem before leaving to join the US Marine Corps. His nominator expressed that Jordan's willingness to help people started at a young age. This is evident because Jordan became involved with the Selkirk Fire Department on his 17th birthday. Just a year later, Jordan joined the Delmar-Bethlehem EMS. He quickly became one of the most active members of the service, riding an average of 100 hours a month and helping countless people.

Further illustrating Jordan's desire to help those around him is the fact that Jordan did that all for free. Jordan's service in his community only ceased when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps., but that of course is another duty in itself.

As part of the “Hometown Heroes” series, we’ve partnered with County Waste, Latham Ford, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region and Awards by Walsh to celebrate local unsung heroes for their good deeds and honorable work. Thank you, Jordan for all that you do!
