Finally, the World Series of Poker "Main Event" is kicking off!  Last year saw 6,865 players go after the prize of 8.7 million bucks.  This year,  I'll be eyeing Q-Ruption's Sully Erna to see if he makes an appearance - and a run at the title.

OK, so maybe Sully won't win the Main Event, but the man has a better shot at it than you might think if he plays.  Erna has cashed twice in the ME and has shared the felt with the world's finest.  In '07, Sully finished in 237th place in the ME  in a field of 6,358 players - damn good in my eyes.  Three months later, he won over 300 grand by placing second at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic .  Two of the players at the final table with Sully own World Series of Poker bracelets, this was no slouch table.

I haven't seen an official entry list yet, but ESPN tends to provide great coverage of the tournament so I'm sure if Sully does enter, we'll see him pop up on the tube and attempt to  make a deep run.  He's on tour in Bulgaria on day one.  Does that mean he'll be playing on day three?  The field is so large, it splits into three groups for the first few days of play. His Twitter has been quiet. He did play on day three in 2010.  Hopefully the man gets in on the action!  If Sully plays, think he'll make another deep run this year?

Check out this interview I found on-line - watch the interviewer put her foot in her mouth haha!
