Erie Boulevard In Schenectady To Close For The Weekend

Well, the downside is that you may have to do a bit of re-routing this weekend. On the upside at least some of the construction that has been going on should be complete.

If your weekend plans have you traveling down Erie Boulevard in Schenectady this weekend you might want to seek out an alternate route. The intersection at Erie Boulevard and Nott St. will be out of commission for the entire weekend starting Friday at 7pm and going through Monday at 6am while construction on the new roundabout is completed (weather permitting). Really there is only a few finishing touches left on the project like paving the top course and adding signage before it opens to the public on Monday.

So while you may need to detour a bit over the weekend hopefully traffic will flow a little smoother and faster when all is said and done. On a side note, not everyone seems to know exactly how to navigate a roundabout ... anyone got the over/under on fender benders at the roundabout next week?
