Fall is here to stay, but winter is not far behind. Judging by the temperature outside, this might be your last chance to take in all the amazing fall views the Capital Region has to offer.

For those born and bred here in the Capital Region, I can see how easily the fall foliage can be taken for granted. As a transplant to the area, I gotta tell ya, the views around these parts are absolutely breathtaking.

I grew up on the complete opposite side of the country, and while the temperatures on the West Coast are pretty amazing year-round, the landscape is pretty much nothing but brown. The Capital Region is definitely where it's at to experience every season like, for the longest time- I thought you only saw this stuff in movies.

The temps are starting to drop and the leaves are beginning to fall, so before they are all gone, I highly recommend taking a drive and taking in all of the colors of the fall in our own backyards. Over the last week or so, I made a point to hop in my ride, crank up the Q, and spend sometime doing just that. Trust me, I was not disappointed!

The views that I took in within literally a 15-mile radius of my regular commute definitely put me in the fall mood, to the point that I thought a hot toddy and fire pit were in my future! Below are a few pics (shot with my amazing iPhone 5) of some of the views I got to witness.
