Does March Madness Make You Crazy?
It makes me crazy! It’s hard to think about anything else that’s going on. These next few days I’m like a kid in a candy store and don’t know which game to pay more attention to. It’s like 4 days in a row of Sunday football. Are you with me on this?
I know some people that take this Thursday and Friday off every year just to watch the madness. I should probably start doing because when I’m work, I don’t hear anything anyone is saying to me unless they’re talking about one of the games.
The sad thing for those who took the day off from work is that they’ve locked themselves in a bar on what’s probably the nicest day so far this year. Seriously, it’s 60 degrees out. However, if you’re looking for a place to watch the games and celebrate St. Patty’s Day, you can join Q103 at Maggie’s Sports Grille on Western Ave. in Albany from 4-6p.
So as I’m writing this blog I’m 1-0 today as I cashed a nice ticket with W. Virginia and I’m feeling pretty good about my Penn St. pick +2.5. So what bit of handicapping advice can I give you for later? I say you try Cincinnati and St. John’s (both games are a pick ‘em). My theory is that the Big East truly is the best conference in the country. And any time I can get one of these teams without having to lay a lot points I’m going to get down with that sweet action! Hey, it worked with the Mountaineers.
Whether it’s a bracket you’re vested in, one or two games you’ve wagered on, or you’re just rooting for your favorite team with all your heart. I say good luck to all and enjoy the madness!
