It was 32 years ago today that the ‘Miracle on Ice’ took place at the XIII Olympic Winter Games. February 22nd, 1980, the United States Hockey Team pulled off one of the biggest upsets in sports history by defeating the Soviet Union 4-3 at Lake Placid New York.
The United States then went on to win the Gold Medal by defeating Finland.
