In this day and age we are all looking to save a little bit of money, but did director Michael Bay reuse footage from his 2005 film The Island in his latest Transformers film?  A new video online sure makes it look like he did.

Michael Bay has a reputation among movie goers as being a pretty bad director. He has directed some pretty big movies such as Armageddon, Transformers 1,2 and 3, Bad Boys 1 and 2, The Rock and many more. Sometimes he tends to ruin things though. A lot of horror purists hated what he did with both The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Amityville Horror. Let us not forget the gem that was Pearl Harbor.

In his latest film, Transformers 3 : Dark of the Moon, he may of actually reused some old footage from a movie he made back in 2005 called The Island.  I know that TV shows will sometimes reuse sets for different shows, but in movies?  If you watch the video it totally looks like it.  Even if it's not reusing the footage he ripped off his own scene almost shot for shot, but added Transformers into it.  Pretty amazing stuff.  Hats off to whoever saw that crappy Island movie and was able to put the pieces together.
