The gentlemen from Devour the Day stopped by the Q103 Garage to talk with me and play an exclusive acoustic garage session for a few Q listeners. Set to take the stage later in the night, Joey “Chicago” Walser and Blake Allison sit down and share some stories and lessons they have learned.

“Yeah, I bought glasses…just the most ridiculous glasses you could by because ‘well this is what they wear to the Grammys’…” –Blake Allison, Devour The Day

Blake admitted to making a frivolous purchase when his band was signed at an early age.

Blake and Joey shared some misconceptions that they had about the music industry early on and how the new MP3-sharing Internet boom and Napster played a role in setting them back in the start. The guys also told me all about the writing process of the music and how the gas station Sheetz plays a big role in their travel lives.

Also, we joked about make-believe kind of adult movies that they guys have searched for many nights.

Check out my interview with Devour the Day in the Q103 garage and then check out their garage session videos.
