No, it’s not extra taxes for fat people. It’s a tax on foods with saturated fat. Denmark is going to tax 16 kroner (which is about 3 dollars) for every kilogram of saturated fat in foods. It's estimated that butter will go up 30% and a bag of chips go up 8% in cost.

This is an attempt to encourage people to eat better and reduce heart disease. The crazy thing is Denmark is one of the skinniest countries there is.
