This weekend Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters were in England to headline BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival Sunday night in Norwich, but Grohl (as he often does) managed to do so much more than that while in the U.K.

The night before their headlining gig, Grohl surprised Paul McCartney fans at London’s O2 Arena by coming onstage and performing “I Saw Her Standing There” with the Beatles legend. According to Time Magazine, this is only the second time the pair has performed that song together. The first was at the 2009 Grammy Awards, and that time the Foo Fighters’ singer was on the drums. Check out some fan-filmed footage of the performance above.

The next day, Foo Fighters closed out Big Weekend performing Sunday night after Taylor Swift’s set, a fact the didn’t go unnoticed by the frontman. He mentioned her several times during their performance, even dedicating three songs to the singer, one of which is their track “Congregation” which was written in Nashville.

According to the World Entertainment News Network, Grohl stated, “I've done some weird things in my life but I've never before said that Taylor Swift is my opening act ... Taylor motherf--king Swift ... This one is dedicated to Taylor Swift." He also added, "I'm officially obsessed, she might want to get a restraining order ... To my opening band, Taylor Swift.” Check out BBC Radio’s video capturing some of Grohl’s T-Swift love below.

In June, Foo Fighters will headline Glastonbury Festival and in July will kickoff a huge North American tour on July 4 in Washington, D.C., and will perform allover the U.S. and some stops in Canada through Oct. 7.
