Legendary singer of The Misfits Glenn Danzig is coming to the Capital Region, and we now know a couple of the artists he’s planning on covering on his upcoming cd.

Danzig is coming to Northern Lights Sunday May 15th. Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10am thru Ticketmaster, Déjà vu, or the Northern Lights Box Office. It’s rumored  that loyal fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance, and with reduced service charges. Wow, I like the sound of that! Perhaps some other artist should jump on the Danzig-train and stop letting agencies rape us with $4.50 here, $7.00 there and another $1.00 charge somewhere else.

Here’s another juicy little nugget for you. Apparently Danzig has already recorded 5 songs from his soon to be “Covers” album and two of the artists he’s covering are Black Sabbath and Elvis Presley. Holy smokes! I could see him playing any Sabbath tune. But what in the world will he do from The King? God, I hope it’s not another version of Jailhouse Rock!

Speaking of Elvis tunes, here’s a cool version I found out there of “Little Sister” done by Pearl Jam with special guest Robert Plant.
