The power went out in my apartment last night and caused a panic, so I could not make it out to The Low Beat in Albany. Tonight I am heading out to Everydays a venue that I have been attending regularly for over a year now.

The first time I took the stage at Everydays I did not know what to expect. I did not even know where I was, because it is far enough west on Central ave to be Schenectady, but not far enough outside of Colonie. Eventually I had figured out that it is technically Albany.

When I first met the host, Morgan Williams, from the looks of him I thought that someone was going to get hurt. Then he started bashing himself in the head with the microphone, so someone did get hurt. But not really, although a pink welt appeared on his head Morgan was able to continue his hosting duties and bash himself in the head some more.

I had prepared what I thought was a amusing set of jokes and mini rants about America and social media. The audience seemed unsure of me, because this was during my "wear a suit for Stand-Up phase" apparently a white guy in a suit invokes anger in others. Especially when it is advertised that they will speaking on stage, despite this, the audience listened intently but did not laugh much. It made me angry, but the finale I had planned made me happy.

I had been obsessing over the Choo-Choo Soul woman on Disney Jr, not that I watch Disney Jr on a regular basis, but I have a son who was 1 at the time. My finale would be a tribute to her. I crafted two fake breasts out of socks from home and planned on stuffing them into me shirt, singing the Choo-Choo Soul theme song and making my breasts bounce like Genevieve Goings.

Toward the end of my set, I wanted to punish the audience for not laughing at my witty observations and when the time came to do so, I sure did.
