Higher fines, added cameras and then some are being proposed for New York school buses.

It still is mind-boggling why someone would ever pass a school bus whose red lights are flashing. You have to think of the kind of guilt you would feel should the worst case scenario happen. I myself would never pass a school bus. Even if I was running 30 minutes late for work, just stop.

Most level headed people will agree with that statement and will do that. But sadly, there are some people who do indeed pass a school bus. These proposals by Governor Cuomo will hopefully detour them.

Here are the exacts. One, adding stop-arm cameras to buses. Two, implementing higher fines should you pass a bus (the cameras will ensure you cannot escape the fine). Three, making seat belts mandatory on buses.
