Last week, Slipknot / Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor was lovingly ripped apart by comics and fellow musicians at the 'Monster Energy Roast on the Range' event. Taylor was the recipient of some brutal humor at the hands of Slipknot's Shawn 'Clown' CrahanAnthrax's Scott Ian, 'That Metal Show' hosts Don Jamieson + Jim Florentine, metalhead comic Brian Posehn and others.

'Roast on the Range' acted as the official kickoff event to this year's Rock on the Range Festival. On May 15, Corey Taylor became a willing target for some brutal humor. "I’m a little nervous, a little excited, and of course a little gassy," Taylor said a few months before the roast. "But that could just be the excitement. I’m really looking forward to it, but knowing my friends and the possibilities for who could be a part of this, I have no idea what I’m getting into!”

In the official trailer for Taylor's roast, you can see how heavy-handed the roasters were, not pulling any punches for the singer's sake. However, roasters also took shots at other members of the deus, including one priceless line from Scott Ian aimed at toastmaster Sebastian Bach. "I recently read an interview about that Skid Row reunion," Ian began. "And Sebastian, in the interview, you said something about how the other guys must hate money because they don't wanna do it? No, they just hate you."

'Roast on the Range' with Corey Taylor will air exclusively on Howard Stern's 'Howard 101' Sirius/XM channel on Friday, May 23 at 10PM ET / 7PM PT. A portion of the proceeds from the even is going to MusiCares, a nonprofit organization that helps musicians in times of need.
